Libel is the pet/passion project of one Gavin Dunaway, a longtime fixture of the Brooklyn indie rock scene who also trudged various bands around DC clubs back in the aughts. The sound features Gavin’s Bowie-esque vocals slicing through post-hardcore riffage, with an occasional sprinkling of shoegaze textures. And while it once leaned on the traditional guitars/bass/drums model, lately it's evolved into a hybrid guitar/electronic project as much as anything.
